This item was to ratify the quotation for 4 Radar Speed Signs (solar version) for installation in the village. At the meeting the approved sites of the Speed Sign Posts on an A4 sized village map were handed out by the Chair. A member of public mentioned that she had come to the meeting as this was a large amount of money for the parish council to spend.  However it was explained that to her that this was important for the safety of the parishioners and was to be funded from the Wind Farm Fund.  The Wind Farm Fund, it was explained, is money received yearly for the use of the parish.  When this equipment is installed it will need adding to the Asset Register. The traffic calming equipment is costed out at £10,560 which includes posts at half price (£300 instead of £600). VAT is included on the Speed Signs which can reclaimed.  Councillor Stone proposed and Councillor Hall seconded – 5 voted in favour and 1 abstention by Councillor Harrison.
