A member of public mentioned that she had come to the meeting as this was a large amount of money for the parish council to spend. However it was explained that to her that this was important for the safety of the parishioners and was to be funded from the Wind Farm Fund. The Wind Farm Fund, it was explained, is money received yearly for the use of the parish. When this equipment is installed it will need adding to the Asset Register. The traffic calming equipment is costed out at £10,560 which includes posts at half price (£300 instead of £600). VAT is included on the Speed Signs which can reclaimed.
