Minutes of the Saltfleetby Parish Council Extraordinary Meeting held on 16th April 2024 at 7pm at St Peters Church.

Cllr Aldhouse resigned on 11th March 2024
Chair welcomed everyone to the meeting.
There were 14 members of the public present
Statutory proceedings commenced at 7pm
02137 Apologies for Absence
Cllr Clarke
02138 Declaration of Interest
Cllr Stone declared an interest in the Wind Farm application
02139 Co-opting of Councillors
Two people put themselves forward to be councillors – Peter Hatton and Kate Marshall
They were voted in unanimously and joined the meeting at this point.
02140 Minutes from the January 2024 meeting
There were several queries with these minutes but these were mainly resolved via emails between the Clerk and Cllr Harrison before the meeting. To be brought to the May meeting for formal approval.
02141 Defibrillators
The Clerk brought 3 quotes for the purchase of 3 defibrillators and 2 cabinets to the March meeting. These were:-
- £3,318.38 (vat exc)
- £3,939.85 (vat exc)
- £3,435.00 (vat exc)
There was a query as to how long the batteries lasted and how much they were. The Clerk discovered that the batteries lasted 4 years and cost £121. It was proposed to buy from the cheapest supplier 1) – this was voted on and passed unanimously. There is budget within the Parish Council accounts for these. Cllr Hatton is going to get quotes for the installation and bring to the next meeting Action 65/24

02142 Windfarm Applications
Cllr Stone left the room at this point. The grant applications were as follows:-
- SCA coffee mornings - £240 for hire of hall
(this application was initially brought to the March meeting but there were only 3 voting members available so not quorate)
- SCA – hire of room for a ceilidh dance - £60
- SCA – hire of band for ceilidh dance - £350
- Saltfleetby Walking Football – fencing etc £642.17 (vat inc)
The Committee voted all 4 grants through unanimously as long as SCA policies were correctly updated. The Clerk had received up to date policies and these were to be sent on to Cllr Hatton for checking.
02143 Items for Next Meeting:-
- Need a list of all the tree preservations in Saltfleetby Clerk to sort Action 66/24
- Burial grounds
- Windfarm Terms of Reference
- The APM will be on 21st May 2024 – venue to be decided
