The possibility of a raised flowerbed near Soloby Cottages was brought up – this will be put on the agenda for the next meeting – cables may pose a problem.

For Information:
02381 District/County Councillor Report – Cllr Ricketts mentioned that things are relatively quiet at East Lindsey after the summer break. The majority of food waste bins have been delivered now but aren’t going to be collected until October. Central Government have put a stop to planning applications being ‘called in’ after the meetings. Parking is a problem near the Prussian Queen and an email has been passed on Cllr Robinson. The Chair is to send pictures through for Cllr Robinson. This is going to be put on Fix My Street also. Cllr Harrison mentioned that some of the diversion signs that are put up don’t make sense and send cars off to strange places.

- Correspondence – the clerk mentioned that a resident had emailed to say that the speed and neighbourhood watch signs in the village were needing attention.
- Defibrillators – still awaiting the recalled one to be replaced and the Clerk has rang on numerous occasions regarding the £999 that was paid for 2 months ago and will continue until this is received.
- ANPR – the legally completed document was received today from the Police and the Clerk circulated it to the councillors.
02383 Rural Crime & IT Issues
Cllr MacDonald has put a suggestion regarding linking up of ring door bell cameras in the village to the Police for their opinion on the scheme’s viability and is awaiting a response from them.
He also wanted to mention that he’d had problems with his IT where an erroneous email address was sent out and warned the other councillors regarding use of Windows Link.
02384 Village Magazine
This item was deferred to the next meeting.
02385 Gazebo
Cllr Lusby and Stone explained the situation with regard to the gazebo – after the first use when it was windy one of the corners was a little gapping. After the second use it was decided to reinforce this corner so that the gazebo remained in good condition. This reinforcement has been carried out by a contractor (Sipley Ltd) for a cost of £80 and this has been paid.
02386 Planning
i) 00870/26/FUL – Erection of a detached garage – Bluebell Lodge – councillors no issues
ii) The Cottage, Mill Lane, Saltfleetby – list building – councillors no issues
iii) Alma House – problem with Japanese Knotwood – councillors are still concerned regarding
this but the Planning Department assess read:-
The agent has submitted evidence of a 10 year treatment and clearance programme being put in place to control and remove the knotweed at the site, which wouldn’t affect the proposed development.

02387 Purchase of new dog bins
There’s need for another dog litter bin near Taylor Memorial Gardens and possibly another
elsewhere – the council voted for a budget of £600 to enable the Clerk to purchase the bins
02388 Speed Watch Update & Signs
Two speed watches have been carried out by three councillors – half an hour each watch.
On North End Lane there wasn’t any speeding during this time – in fact the fastest vehicle
was 24mph. On Main Road out of 241 cars 47 of them were speeding and will get a letter
from the Police to this effect. The Chair now has two months data from the newly
reinstalled speed equipment and will analyse that for the next meeting.
